No job too far! Mosquitoes and more Installs in Barbados, WI
Posted by admin on Dec 10, 2008
In Late October 2008 Steve Scantlebury with West Coast Construction contacted us about doing a 45,000 sq foot home located right on the shores of one of the most highly sought after islands in the caribbean - Barbados! Mike and I were thrilled to have the opportunity to quote Steve a price for such a task . After reviewing the competition, price and our version of a mosquito system, he was most impressed with us and awarded us the job. So on December 4th we were flown to Barbados, provided with lodging at a local resort and started the installation. We were assigned three laborers that kind of spoke English, well they call it English anyway, and all the necessary tools and extra equipmen, courtesy of West Coast. 200 nozzles later and three 12 hour days ,we were finished. Unlike any other installation in the States ,we had to run tubing through areas under ground 400′ to a far away locations, I physically got inside actual manholes as we sucked jet line through the chases to pull the line through. Pictured below is Vic the project manager , a jolly-old-chap originally from the U.K. that was most fun to chat with and a pleasure to get to know, a couple of other helpers and a shot of the systems located underground in the equipment room.
